National Human Resources Manager

Reporting directly into the COO, this Australian owned company is the largest in its field of expertise. They have locations in NSW, QLD, ACT, VIC and WA, all of which need to be visited occasionally. Partnering with the support of the Senior Management team and Operational Stakeholders Nationally, they are seeking an experienced National Human Resources Manager to join them.

The role will see you providing timely and effective guidance, coaching and support services in relation to the execution of strategic, transactional, Human Resources, Industrial and Employment Relations initiatives and practices.

With 14 branches around the country, this role is one that requires someone who is an advisor, a professional mentor who is an extension of the management/executive team.

The role includes:-

  • Support and advise of the management team and their members on employee relations, industrial relations, performance management, recruitment and selection
  • Guidance and advise to the managers about Fair Work Act and workplace related legislation
  • Support and guidance on Enterprise agreement negotiations
  • Management of complex Employment Relations/Industrial Relations matters where required
  • Champion and support managers with performance review processes
  • Assist in the organisational design, restructuring and change management
  • Assist in talent management and succession planning
  • Assist in the strategic workforce planning, culture and engagement planning
  • Manage the company Payroll Manager and overall payroll function for the company

The successful applicant will have:-

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar National HR Management role
  • Current knowledge of IR legislation
  • Planning and organisational skills
  • Strong critical thinking
  • Knowledge of the Fair work legislation
  • The ability to travel from time to time nationally
  • High level of professionalism
  • Well developed written and verbal communication skills
  • High attention to detail
  • Planning and organising to a high level
  • The ability to communicate inclusively with the management and executive team, being an extention, enhancing the overall outcomes
