This packaging company is looking for an experienced fitter to operate and maintain bottle making machinery, getting involved in repairs of the plant to produce high quality products. This is a hands on role where you can liaise with other fitters, operators, team leaders, production and engineering managers to optimise performance and ensure delivery times are met.
Reporting to the team leader, your main responsibilities are:
- Ensuring adherence to health, safety and environmental policies & procedures
- Guarantee products are manufactured according to specifications and meet customer satisfaction
- Undertake reactive and preventative measures involved in general maintenance and repair of plant and machinery
- Troubleshooting mechanical processes
- Identify process improvement
- Implement new project work design
Requirements
- Trade qualification; Certificate III in Engineering (Mechanical Trade) or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing and hands-on experience with operating machines
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure
