Join a growing trading company located in Campbellfield, our client known for their supportive and collaborative team environment are looking for a dedicated Company Accountant to join their team.
Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Company Accountant to manage and oversee their financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a commercial setting, specifically within a trading company, and possess a high level of proficiency in BAS, payroll, staff supervision, forecasting, and budgeting. This role requires excellent written and spoken communication skills, as well as a degree qualification in accounting or a related field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and prepare BAS (Business Activity Statements)
- Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff
- Conduct financial forecasting and budgeting to support strategic planning
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards
- Liaise with external auditors and tax advisors as required
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
- Collaborate with the management team to support business growth and efficiency
- Ensure adherence to all relevant financial legislation and best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree qualified in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Proven experience working in a commercial setting for a trading company
- Strong knowledge of BAS and payroll processes
- Experience in staff supervision and team leadership
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills
- Proficiency in financial forecasting and budgeting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a small, supportive team environment
