About The Role
SMS Professional is looking for a Business Development Manager from an Automotive – Heavy Vehicle background. With 3 days on the road and 2 days in the office, this role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety.

Your Duties Include:

  • Create new business opportunities and potential clients in target markets and develop relationships with them to secure new business.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and stakeholders, and negotiate contracts and agreements as needed.
  • Achieve sales targets, at expected profit margins, by converting leads into sales.
  • Maintain ultimate ownership of new business throughout the sales cycle – from sales quotation to project completion – ensuring premium customer service throughout the process.
  • Work closely with other departments to ensure that all business development and sales activities are executed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Strong focus on sourcing fleet customers

About You: 

  • Previous experience in a similar role- Ideally in the trucks or heavy vehicle industry 
  • Proven record to achieve and exceed sales targets 
  • Positive, proactive, highly organised, and people-centric
  • Transparent and honest are key to your communication style, and you can find a way to relate with people from all walks of life. 
  • You’re the type of person who will jump in the car to visit a customer since you know it develops rapport and solves problems quickly
  • Truck license is a benefit!
