As a Business Development Manager, you will play a crucial role in identifying and capitalising on business opportunities, expanding customer base, and driving revenue growth in the chemical waste industry. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual with a strong background in chemicals and a passion for waste management.


  • Identify and analyze potential business opportunities in the chemical waste management sector.
  • Conduct market research and stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and competitors to drive strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, government agencies, and industry associations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored solutions and proposals for clients’ chemical waste management needs.
  • Lead negotiations and contract discussions with potential clients to secure new business partnerships.
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies and initiatives to achieve sales targets and revenue growth.
  • Provide regular reports and updates on sales activities, market trends, and business performance to the management team.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and recommend adjustments as needed.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline, effectively managing leads and opportunities throughout the sales cycle.
  • Stay informed about advancements in waste management technologies and sustainable practices in order to provide valuable insights to clients.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field. 
  • Proven track record of at least 5 years in business development or sales within the chemical industry, preferably in the waste management sector.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical waste management processes, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Strong understanding of the environmental and sustainability challenges related to chemical waste management.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute effective sales strategies, resulting in revenue growth.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to gather and interpret market data to make informed business decisions.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with clients and attend industry events.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
