We are a leading recycling business located near Botany, seeking an experienced Account Manager to handle both buying and selling aspects of our operations. This role exists due to an internal promotion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Account Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, ensuring their needs are met and expectations exceeded.
  • New Business Development: Drive business growth by actively seeking out new opportunities within the recycling sector. This role will include a cold calling element to identify potential clients and nurture leads.
  • Project Management: Oversee projects from inception to completion, collaborating with various internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
  • Sales Operations: Manage the sales process, negotiate terms, and close deals while meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Hybrid Work Model: This role offers a hybrid work-from-home arrangement, with two days per week required to be in the office.
  • Sales Area: Focus on the metro Sydney region, engaging with clients and prospects to establish strong business relationships.


  • Experience: Previous experience in the waste and recycling industry is highly regarded, with a solid understanding of industry trends and practices.
  • Energy and Enthusiasm: A high level of energy, enthusiasm, and self-motivation to drive results and exceed targets.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage projects from start to finish, ensuring all details are addressed for successful outcomes.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients, understand their needs, and present effective solutions.
  • Sales Skills: Demonstrated sales skills, including prospecting, cold calling, negotiation, and closing deals.
  • Salesforce: Experience with Salesforce is desired but not essential.
