National Sales Manager / 2IC – Filled May 2018



Reporting directly to the MD and having the National Field Manager reporting to you, this is a hands-on role taking on some of the companys’ main accounts as well as assisting the MD in the smooth running of the business as the 2IC.

Working closely with the marketing team, this role will see you maximise your opportunities by planning, scheduling and managing the customer base through effective sales, call cycles and marketing plans, focusing on achieving the budgetry requirements and ensuring the fulfilment of service and price commitments to customers as well as bringing on new business opportunities.

The company has a reputation for high quality and affordable products, which can be located in Bunnings, Big W and other major and smaller retail outlets.
The role will see you spending approximately 70% of your time in the office. You will liaise with buyers in both Australia and New Zealand and ideally you will not only grow your patch but also take over many of the accounts that the MD is currently handling.

The ideal person will have:-

Demonstrated sales experience with proven success
Solid business acumen
Minimum of 5 years in a similar position
High level communication, negotiation and problem solving skills
Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with internal and external customers
A Strategic mind
Honesty and integrity
Current, clean drivers license
The ability to lead, motivate and manage a team.
