Financial Controller

Exciting opportunity to join a rapidly growing private business close to Alexandria that is gaining an international footprint. Responsible for putting together the right finance team and framework to give this business the support it needs to continue growing at its current pace. While maintaining robust controls and ensuring the quality of data that is being recorded to assist the business in its reporting requirements.

  • Creditor Management
  • Monthly reporting for the business including the International entity
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Budgets and preparation of weekly and rolling forecasts
  • Capital Expenditure including maintaining fixed assets register and the depreciation calculator
  • Inventory Management
  • Payroll processing including superannuation backup
  • Compliance, Taxation and Audit
  • Managing the Finance Team and the Accounting processes and procedures.
  • Management of overseas ledger and understanding of local legal requirements
  • All statutory and tax requirements

Skills and Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in Accounting/Finance CPA or CA
  • Inventory management experience
  • Strong analysis and overall finance skills
  • Advanced MS Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of operating systems. Especially Xero
  • Comprehensive knowledge of compliance to taxation legislation and limited entity rules.
  • Decision and problem-solving skills
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to build positive relationships with key stakeholders
  • People Management skills
  • Superior time management skills
  • A high level of attention to detail
  •  Proficient with a proven ability to show initiative
